
Rules
3rd-5th Grades' Level

4(Four), 10(Ten) minute quarters will be played .

Running time Except on foul shots and the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter

The clock will stop at the 5 minute mark for substitutions. Referees will blow the whistle for substitutions as long as a ball is not progressing on a fast break.

Each team will be allowed 2 time-outs per game.

Jump ball at the beginning of the game. After that it will be alternate possession.

Foul shots will only be taken on shooting fouls. Players will shoot from the 12ft. mark. Players will be allowed to move up if they can not reach.

There will be no Pressure Defense outside of the 3-point line in this league.

Every player will play as close to equal playing time as possible.

1st and 2nd quarter will be Man to Man only

3rd and 4th quarter will be defense of the coaches choice

Foul shots: players in the lane may enter on the RELEASE; the shooter and all other players must wait until the ball makes contact with the rim
6th-8th Grades' Level

In order to start an official game, teams must have 5 players from their roster.

In the event that a team has less than 5 players the referee will put a 5 minutes waiting time on the score board

After the 5 minutes has expired, the game will be ruled a forfeit and teams may add additional players and play a non-official game.

4(Four), 10(Ten) minute quarters will be played .

3 minute overtime, plus one additional time-out

Each team will be allowed 3 time-outs per game.

Players will be allowed 5 personal fouls per game.

On the 5th foul, players will be disqualified from the game

Jump ball at the beginning of the game. After that it will be alternate possession.

On the 7th team foul in each half, teams will shoot one and one. On the 10th team foul in each half, teams will get 2 shots.

Pressure Defense:

Teams can start playing defense at the ½ court line

In the last 5 minutes of the 2nd and 4th quarter, teams may apply full court pressure

In the 2nd quarter the press must be man to man
-
Teams will play man to man in the 1st and 2nd quarter. Teams may choose their preferred defense in the 2nd half.

If a team has a lead of 20 points or more the will play defense inside the 3 point line
-
